CHALLENGE SCHEDULE 2009
Dear Ferrari Shell Historic Drivers,
We are very pleased to announce our 2009 Ferrari Challenge seasonal calendar. Featuring five or six (with Cavallino tbd), two race events, each event will be held as an exclusive Ferrari race weekend to be contested on the most renowned and challenging road courses in North America.
This year the Challenge will return to long straights and challenging bends of Road America, a popular favorite among all drivers. In total, the 2009 series will be compromised of 10 (or 12) North American races contested over 5 or 6 event weekends. Another addition to the schedule is New Jersey Motorsports Park which will provide for an exciting new experience as season's Finale. For all who have not been to the World Finals, we would like to remind you that this event is open to the Shell Historics as well with a field not to be compared with any other around the world. We, Ferrari North America, our Shell Historics Project Manager, Dave Seibert and our sanctioning body, Grand Am, are certain that you will enjoy the exciting mix of race tracks which will offer you a nice variety of configuration to celebrate the long history of Ferrari Racing.
Please stay in touch with us to prepare for the 2009 season and let us know if you need assistance with anything at all. On-line registration will start at the end of January at our Challenge website: www.ferrarichallenge.com, where you are also invited to check frequently for news items about the challenge which will help you plan for the season.
